Cafe Del Sol in Gelsenkirchen

I was invited by my friend to the Café de sol for my 18th birthday and celebrated my birthday very nicely. The staff were very friendly and always asked if we were missing something

Great service and good ambience. Food tastes very good too. The schnitzel holiday is awesome and more than recommendable.

Unfortunately, I don't really like the menu in general, but I can recommend the Flammkuchen Pizza.

Unfortunately, I had no opportunity to rate my visit to Cafe del Sol on August 30th, 2020. If I could, I wouldn't give a star at all. The question of "why" is answered by the poor service, the mostly unfriendly staff, the unclean conditions in the toilet and the food that was not served as described in the menu. As you can see in the picture, I only got my food 1 hour after my friends had eaten. After asking several times, it was noticed at some point that the meal was probably forgotten. It took a while, I asked again and at some point the boss was sent to me who just asked what the problem was. There was no excuse, even after the food was finally brought back some time later. The "boss" presented it to me without comment. When trying it I noticed that the taste was not good and even the ingredients listed on the menu (with picture) were missing, the mango for example. When I discussed everything with a colleague in the house again, she couldn't help me. A big disappointment ... also for my friends, who weren't particularly satisfied either.

Visited yesterday. Were asked to leave because the boss suspected that we would not meet the Corona requirements (too many different households). We registered properly, weren't too many households, and kept the distance. Disappointed as regulars, we will leave our money elsewhere in the future, where less assumptions are accepted than facts. I also suspect something: the lady who likes to send staff forward will have to reorient herself professionally in the foreseeable future.

If you know one, you know all. Schnitzel vacation is rather low budget. Not the price (14 €), but the food. Eternal waiting times and then you get the wrong sauce. Instead of an apology, you would have ordered it that way. Since I am allergic, I know exactly what I am ordering. Sorry ..

It's just a system catering from the retort, furnishings and buildings once everything from the catalog. You have to like it.

I always really enjoy going here. I think the ambience is nice and I've always been satisfied with the service. But today the worm was in! For a Sunday afternoon in glorious sunshine, surprisingly little going on. Oh joy !! So I was all the more astonished that the service didn't work at all. After a long wait, my husband and I had to go to the waitress to at least order a drink for us. When our food was served by another waitress, the drinks were still not there. When I remembered, they were handed in quickly and with a nice apology. Go then! My turkey schnitzel was hot and delicious, the salad fresh with the usual delicious dressing, but the fries were lukewarm to cold. With my husband too. A pity!! So today we weren't satisfied.

Delicious food, delicious, home-made drinks, and the location and interior design is a feast for the eyes. You feel right at home. The operation is also impressive. Any time.

The staff was very friendly and tried hard to give it the 2 stars. The del Sol itself is set up in the same way as any other (ambience etc.) but the toilets here were a disaster! Especially in coronavirus times, soap etc. shouldn't be missing in the toilets, there were also really nasty hygiene deficiencies, toilet paper on the floor, urinated toilet seats etc. Unfortunately, the location of the del Sol is also not very advantageous and was not perceived as being as pleasant and relaxed.

The green curry is a bad joke. A. Not sharp despite the symbolism B. Absolutely cheap vegetables. Definitely ready-to-use vegetable mix from the bag C. No variation in taste when eating. Every bite tastes the same and then the sauce is also unsavory And 10 euros for garbage like that.

Cafe del Sol is a chain. I've been to some of the restaurants and have never been disappointed. Here too. Nice shop, excellent food at reasonable prices and good portions. Only the waitresses did not speak to each other correctly, we were asked the same thing over and over by several people. But that was the only "flaw" ?

For my part, I think my partner and I have already ordered the whole menu up and down. The meal was delivered very quickly and we were completely pleasantly surprised. We'll all be back for sure, the tables from the eatery were perfectly cleaned and the seating was very comfortable. Really quick and friendly service. I think that the entire restaurant staff did a great job there.

I was there for my brunch on the occasion of my birthday today with my family. My reservation had somehow disappeared, but the friendly owner immediately took care of the problem. Ruck Zuck some tables and chairs went crazy and I could even pick a table. The friendliness and speed but applies to the whole staff. We never waited long for our drinks and dirty plates were cleared away immediately. The selection of food, both hot and cold, was really big and lots of stuff to fill so that garbage was avoided. Empty plates were refilled quickly and the taste was also very good. Although it was very busy, we were asked again and again if everything was ok. So a nice start to the birthday. Danke??

The food was very fast and delicious. The prices are perfectly fine. BUT we were there at half past twelve in the evening and one thing you have to say is the joy and motivation of the staff so late at night just madness ??
